Women of Kol Ami (WOKA) has been an integral part of Congregation Kol Ami since the very beginning. The women of Kol Ami are dedicated to creating opportunities for spirituality, service, social engagement, scholarship and sisterhood for our diverse group of women members and to support the congregation, and our social action efforts.
Most of our activities are inspired by the current membership. In the past we have had: Challah baking, game night Havdallah, arts and crafts (Challah Covers, knitting) Chanukah Havdallah, Dodger Baseball, trips to HUC Library, Torah Study & Hike, pool parties, and theater parties.
We have raised funds for the women of Abayudaya Congregation, Chanukah toys and the Rabbi’s Discretionary Fund as well as participated in the Walk for Darfur and volunteered on Big Sunday.
